BIBLE STUDY-Fearless

There is one thing in this world that every person wants. Control. Sometimes the desire for control can completely consume a person. We just want to take care of our own problems, and make sure they are taken care of.We want to be tough, and bear our burdens. Now this is all well and good for a while, but there are some things that we just cannot handle in our own. Sure, we like to think that we can, but we can’t really. Even with little things, like if you are having trouble understanding an algebra concept, or if you’re sick on the day of a district track meet, youfreak out and stress about the entire thing. In Mark 10:27, Jesus says to his disciples “with men, it is impossible, but not with God: With God all things are possible.” What a relief, right? God can do anything! But will he? God’s word says in Isaiah 43:4, “Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.” We don’t have to worry, because we have a great big God who can do ANYTHING!!!!! Think about that. ANYTHING!!! And he LOVES us! He turned water into wine! He fed 2000 people with just two fish and five loaves of bread! He raised Jesus from the grave! And yet we worry that he won’t help us when our friends turn their backs on us, or when our grades are plummeting like a skydiver without a parachute. He LOVES us. He will not let you flounder and fall. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 So don’t be afraid! No matter how big and scary your situation is, God is bigger than it! Like a LOT bigger! Also, remember Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” So today, and everyday, when the scary things come your way, remember that God is bigger than those things, and you can do all things through Him. You are fearless warriors through Christ.
